Pictorial pub history of Huddersfield and district with nearly 200 illustrations of pubs mostly in urban though some in rural areas.

The author has managed to squeeze in brief histories of the main brewing names of the town ie Bentley & Shaw's, Seth Senior and later Hammonds plus mention of the many smaller brewers supplying the pubs in earlier times.

Pub photos range in age from the late 1800s to the 1960s and additionally there are illustrations of brewery adverts, cards, bottle labels and plans.
An evocative record of the many pubs we once had in Huddersfield.
